INSIDE THE NUMBERS: How much do welders make in Canada?

Data from CWB Group’s Welding Industry Report 2022, a comprehensive look at the nation’s 80,900 welders, shows that there has been a respectable wage increase for welders over the last few years.

In 2021, the average hourly wage for a welder was $29.01. The average weekly wage was $1,196.16. The data shows a consistent increase since 2017.
