As the cleaning out of the 1920s Price Filler Machine Shop in downtown Roanoke, VA continues, we meet David, a knowledgeable and unique rigger and machinist. David pops into the shop to pick up a “bombshell lathe.” The history of this Ryerson Bombshell Lathe dates back to the early 1900s and it was widely used in both world wars.
