The Canadian Welding Bureau Group (CWB Group) has donated $250,000 to support the expansion of a Milton, ON, hopsital.
CWB Group donated the money for the the expansion of the Milton District Hopsital. The money will help fund equipment purchases for the expansion and will support the Rapid Assessment/Fast Track Unit in the new and expanded emergency department.
The new modern emergency department, often the patient’s first point of entry to the hospital, will triple in size and include a new triage process and electronic patient tracking system to manage each patient’s records from the moment they arrive.

The Hospital Expansion will see a new Emergency Department three times the current size, a modern maternal newborn unit better suited to support Milton’s young and growing population, new space for the Diagnostic Imaging Department, Surgical Sites, Critical Care Unit and the addition of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine-Milton’s first.
Construction of the expansion is underway and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2017.
