For those interested in brushing up on their aluminum welding knowledge, The Lincoln Electric Co. is offering technical training through a selection of upcoming seminars.
Aluminum is increasingly prevalent in manufacturing due to its corrosion-resistant properties and improved strength-to-weight ratio over steel. Techniques and processes involved in aluminum welding have proven to be more difficult than with other materials and require proper training and knowledge.
The Advanced Training for Aluminum Alloys seminar will take place June 24-26 at The Lincoln Electric Corporate Headquarters in Cleveland. The seminar is designed to educate and certify fabrication managers, welding engineers and technicians in the industry. Sessions cover everything from proper metal preparation, to troubleshooting and automation solutions.
The Practical Training for Welding Aluminum Alloys seminar will take place from Oct.6-9 at the corporate headquarters facility. This seminar is ideal for welders and welding technicians who have previous experience. The seminar offers sessions on multiple welding process modes, setting up weld tests and extensive practical application opportunities.
The cost to attend each seminar is $250. Space is limited to 30 attendees for Advanced Training and 20 attendees for Practical Training. Both seminars include reduced hotel rates, shuttles to and from Lincoln Electric Corporate Headquarters, as well as breakfast and lunch each day. Personal protective equipment will be provided, however proper welding attire (long pants, steel-toe boots, etc.) is required to be worn by all participants.
