Click image to enlargeDMG MORI's newly released DMF 200|8 five-axis travelling column machining centre can handle structural components and mold inserts up to 2,300 mm long and up to 2,000 kg.
With traverse paths of 2,000 x 800 x 850 mm, the DMF 200|8 offers users in the die and mould and aerospace sectors constant milling performance due to constant projections.
It’s three linear guides in the X-axis maximized stiffness, while the machine boasts excellent surfaces and accuracy through direct drives in the Y and Z axis. The B-axis milling head has ± 120° swivel range, and the machine maintains very high long-term thermal accuracy due to DMG’s holistic cooling concept, which comes standard.
The machine is capable of high dynamics with rapid traverses of up to 50 m/min as standard and up to 80 m/min with an optional linear drive in the X-axis. The company has also incorporated an innovative tool change that takes place behind the worktable so that the entire clamping surface can be used.
