Schunk TRIBOS SVLClick image to enlarge

Schunk's Tribos-SVL toolholder extensions allow for precise and smooth machining of workpiece areas that are difficult to access, says the company.

In spite of the slim design, the extension is robuts and permits a runout accuracy of less than 0.003 mm. The toolholder extension can be combined with a variety of toolholders, such as Schunk's Tendo hydraulic expansion toolholders, Celsio heat shrink toolholder, collet holders and Tribos toolholders. The extensions with the hydraulic expansion toolholders or the Tribos-R polygonal toolholders have vibration damping effect on the overall system. The Tribos SVL has a range of clamping diameters and are available in metric from 0.3 to 20 mm (1/8 to 3/5 in.).
