The robot-ready Kurt PF-series vises have and easy-to-adjust lash and 52mm spacing Click image to enlargePrecision Force 5-Axis MaxLock vise lineup from Kurt Workholding features three new models with three available jaw options.

The robot-ready Kurt PF-series vises have an easy-to-adjust lash and 52mm spacing for automation-ready mounting systems to adapt to competitors’ zero-point systems.

The new Quick Centerline Adjustment keeps parts perfectly positioned. Spring-loaded gibs keep parts square to maximize part-positioning repeatability through multiple cycles.

The PF 420, PF 440 and PF 460 vises come with standard 4-in. jaw width and jaw openings ranging from 2.625-in. to 6.625-in. These vises replace the previous Kurt HP models and feature AngLock design to minimize jaw lift and deflection. The design naturally pushes the vise jaws down and forward allowing much greater surface contact on parts.

Available in three jaw configurations, with either carvable, dovetail or serrated jaws.

Multi-Tasking: Is it Right for Your Shop?

For manufacturers looking to achieve that competitive edge, you can do no better than a multi-tasking machine. They eliminate the need for separate milling and turning machines, multiple set-ups and, most importantly, they improve productivity.

The Rules of X-Ray Micro CT (and When to Break Them)

Offer the term “metrology equipment” to a group of industrial or manufacturing engineers in a word-association test and it's highly likely CMM (coordinate measuring machine) would be the response.
