Walter Surface Technologies has launched its new E-Weld Pre-Coated Nozzles.

Billed as the only pre-coated MIG nozzles on the market, the new nozzles are designed to counteract nozzle spatter buildup while reducing consumables costs and increasing productivity by reducing the downtime spent scraping out spatter and slag.

The highly concentrated water-based ceramic coating on interior and exterior surfaces took over two years of research to develop, Walter says. The coating prevents spatter from adhering to the nozzle, preventing obstruction and allowing shielding gas to flow freely, which enables higher quality welds.

The coating is also durable and extends nozzle life, protecting against thermal damage. Walter says nozzle life is extended by up to five times over standard OEM nozzles.
