New all black look for Lincoln weld fume controlClick image to enlarge

Lincoln Electric has moved from a red housing to an all-black housing for the exteriors of all of its weld fume control products.

The makeover is visual only, Lincoln says—the products are otherwise unchanged. And to simplify the transition, they will maintain the same part numbers and prices as outlined in the February 1, 2021 price book.

Along with the redesign, the product categories now have a simplified name. Lincoln Electric offers a complete line of portable, stationary, and engineered solutions for welding fume control. These include all X-Tractor Mini and Prism fume control products and accessories.

The color scheme transition was prompted by customer feedback, and gives a more industrial appearance to Lincoln Electric’s line of weld fume control products.

Achieving tool surface finish as low as 0.16 Ra

Highly polished flutes and gash surfaces improve chip evacuation and aid tool performance. The smoother surface enables swarf (or chips) to exit more freely, preventing chip packing and material build up during machining. ANCA has addressed this goal by equipping its rigid tool and cutter grinding machines with ANCA Motion’s LinX linear motor technology to provide manufacturers a new, higher level of quality tool-making capability, says the company.

Integrated Z-axis boosts laser blanking system speeds

LaserCoil Technologies has increased the cutting speed and power of its laser blanking systems.

ERP in the cloud

Cloud computing continues to transform the ERP landscape

By Andrew Brooks

In the early days of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, one of the main complaints customers had was that the sheer scale and complexity of the software made implementation difficult and error-prone. Early failure rates were high. And small to mid-sized enterprises were left out; these costly, massive, one-size fits-all solutions were beyond the reach of all but the largest customers.

Saw cutting system with stronger leg structure

SawGear is a portable, automatic lineal cutting system made by TigerStop, that now has a more robust leg structure to its optional jobsite tables. The new table legs were provide increased stability. The new legs branch in two directions from a direct connection point. They are connected at the top to the table with a sheet metal faceplate. The tables come in three different lengths to accommodate the 8, 12, or 16 ft working length SawGear.

Rotary axis head for enhanced 3D waterjet cutting
