Amada's linear fiber laser cutting system, the Regius 3015 AJClick image to enlarge

Amada's latest innovation is the Regius 3015 AJ, a  9 kW linear fiber laser cutting system equipped with a high speed three axis linear drive and new beam technology.

The machine is designed for autonomous operation (lens monitoring, collision recovery, automatic head recovery, nozzle change and centering). The laser head recovery mechanism automatically resumes cutting after collision to reduce downtime, while visual material monitoring allows for parts to be placed and processed on remnant material via the AMNC3i control. The machine is designed with upward opening doors that provide instant access to the laser bed.

Equipped with Fanuc AC servo motors, it can handle maximum sheet sizes in X and Y of 120 x 60 in. maximum material weight of 2,000 lb. Maximum axis positioning speed in X and Y is 9,448 in./min and the maximum speed in the Z axis is 4,724 in./min.
