Kyocera SGS Precision Tools (KSPT) has expanded the Series 51 T-Carb series of tools to include a ball end configuration.

The T-Carb lineup features engineering and design specific to high speed trochoidal and peel milling. The T-Carb’s six flute eccentric relief design enhances strength and contact at high speeds with superior finish. The ball end expansion gives the tools in the series 3D contouring and finishing applications capability in a variety of materials.

The six flute design enables higher feed rates at reduced tool loads, ultimately preventing breakage and failure, Kyocera says. The T-Carb is designed for multiple operations that call for aggressive roughing and finishing, due to its variable pitch geometry, which improves cycle times and reduces costs.

The series is offered in a variety of length, neck and end configuration options and is coated with TI-NAMITE-X for thermal barrier protection. Available in standard and metric.
