Fanuc's 5 axis machining simulation will help train your workforce for high quality CNC operationsClick image to enlargeFANUC’s Machining Simulation for Workforce Development provides training for controls operation and part programming in a virtual environment.

The Complex Milling Extension option combines a CNC guide and simulation software that can now operate as one of the three main 5-axis mill kinematics.

It also includes training on a 3-axis mill and a 2-axis lathe. The 5-axis machining simulation allows users to learn how to setup and operate three common 5-axis milling machines: mixed type, tool type and table type.

Fanuc says it is committed to bridging the training gap with new or existing workers. Since 5-axis machining involves more complex machine setups, the simulation software teaches users how to take advantage of the unique options and features.

Additionally, the 5-axis machining simulation software allows operators to experiment with and prove out the machine setup and/or part program before modifying the actual machine.

Multi-Tasking: Is it Right for Your Shop?

For manufacturers looking to achieve that competitive edge, you can do no better than a multi-tasking machine. They eliminate the need for separate milling and turning machines, multiple set-ups and, most importantly, they improve productivity.

The Rules of X-Ray Micro CT (and When to Break Them)

Offer the term “metrology equipment” to a group of industrial or manufacturing engineers in a word-association test and it's highly likely CMM (coordinate measuring machine) would be the response.
