Elliott Matsuura Canada will showcase the new Matsuura vertical machining centre, the VX-660.
The machine will make its Canadian debut at the Montreal Manufacturing Technology Show (MMTS) in May in booth 633/47 and 833/47.
The machine is equipped with Matsuura's Maxia BT40 15,000 rpm spindle as standard, suitable for machining different materials such as aluminum, cast iron and titanium.
It features a wide axis travel of 550 mm and a table measuring 940 by 550 mm. Also standard as part of the machine design is a lift-up conveyor, with an optional spiral conveyor, chip flush/chip flow, a working cleaning gun and an air blow function for chip removal. A drum magazine for 30 tools is standard while a chain magazine for 48/60 tools is an option. The spindle's thermal displacement compensation function eliminates dimensional error and ensures stable machining over longer periods of time.
X, Y and Z axis travels are 660, 550 and 560 mm respectively.
