Haimer’s Microset VIO Linear tool presetters Click image to enlargeImproved gear skiving for Haimer’s Microset VIO Linear tool presetters allows the user to find the correct point on the skiving tooth with repeatable accuracy.

If you choose the upgraded options on the presetter, a macro can be created to automate the process.

With this option, the optical carrier (which includes the camera and lighting devices), can be swiveled by +/- 25o. This feature allows machinists to preset gear skiving tools in a whole new way and allows the machine tool to keep running, which increases productivity.

This special technology can also be used to measure the overall tool lengths and cutting edges for other types of tooling assemblies as well – making this machine a very practical and affordable option for those that are gear skiving on their mill/turn machines.
