3D simulation software
- October 29, 2021
WFL Millturn Technologies has released version 3.2 of its CrashGuard Studio 3D simulation software.
The new iteration offers new features and easier screw programming, WFL says.
The measurement capabilities of the simulation software have been improved, and there is a new optional programming tool for modelling and manufacturing plasticizing screws.
CrashGuard Studio enables users to improve testing and optimization of new or modified CNC programs. It enables tests to be carried out at an external programming station (CrashGuard Studio) or directly on the machine control system itself (Millturn PRO).
Optimizing the machining process and ensuring faults are corrected early allows users to reduce the risk of collisions and rejects, while also minimizing unproductive downtimes.
Version 3.2 incorporates newly developed functions for modelling and manufacturing plasticizing screws for the plastics industry. These functionalities are offered by ScrewCAM—an optional add-on for CrashGuard Studio.
Other new functions include new measuring functions, verification and validation, flying material removal, parallel projection and 3D mouse support.
