The Women in Manufacturing Association’s (WiM) 13th annual SUMMIT will take place in San Diego, California on September 25-27, 2023 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

The SUMMIT will include in-person and virtual participation from an estimated 1,000 manufacturing professionals over three days of  keynote presentations, roundtable discussions, breakout sessions, plant tours and social events.

“The 2023 WiM SUMMIT theme is ‘Explore New Horizons,’ so it’s fitting that we are bringing the event to California for the first time,” said Allison Grealis, WiM president and founder. “The SUMMIT serves as a pivotal event that unites, empowers and inspires women in the manufacturing industry. It is our platform to address the challenges women face in this field, celebrate their accomplishments and strategize for a future where women find ever greater success in manufacturing careers.”

The conference will kick off with a keynote delivered by a team of women leaders from Boeing titled 21st Century Rosies: A Factory Fireside Chat, followed by presentations from executives from Siemens Corporation, Clorox, and American Crane and Equipment. Numerous breakout sessions led by manufacturing industry experts also are scheduled throughout the conference, allowing participants to choose the sessions that are of most interest to them. Topics cover diversity, equity and inclusion; leadership; technology/innovation; workforce development; and more.

In addition, the SUMMIT program offers attendees the opportunity to tour innovative manufacturing plants in the San Diego area, enjoy networking social events, and participate in the second annual Women in Manufacturing Education Foundation (WiMEF) HERizon 5K fundraiser to support the development of effective and affordable educational programs to further the advancement of women in the manufacturing workforce.

WiMEF also will host the 2023 Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Gala during the SUMMIT, celebrating trailblazing women who have made exceptional contributions to the industry and to the advancement of women during the course of their established careers. Hall of Fame nominations are being accepted through June 15, 2023.

Registration is open for SUMMIT 2023. Discounted early-bird rates are available through June 15. To learn more about the SUMMIT and to register, visit the SUMMIT webpage.

The Women in Manufacturing Association is a more than 18,000-member-strong association dedicated to supporting, promoting and inspiring women who have chosen a career in manufacturing. www.womeninmanufacturing.org
