Manufacturers encouraged to apply for 7th National Metalworking Reshoring Award

The Reshoring Initiative in conjunction with the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT), SME, and the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA), is once again looking to recognize companies for successful reshoring projects to North America.

There is one award for which companies, both OEMs/branded product companies and job shops/contract manufacturers, can compete. Award criteria are:

  1. Number of North American jobs created
  2. Dollars/year of sales reshored
  3. Product innovation
  4. Process innovation
  5. Completeness of application
  6. Bonus points will be awarded to PMA, AMT, SME and NTMA members.

The winners will be announced at IMTS 2024.

To be eligible, award applications must include the following:

  1. Reshoring of the work occurred between 1/1/2010 and 5/31/2024.
  2. Work came back from outside North America to North America.
  3. Products, parts or tooling reshored must be made primarily by forming, casting, fabricating or machining, including additive machining.
