Verisurf has introduced support for the Renishaw RUP1 CMM ultrasonic thickness probe.
The Renishaw RUP extends Verisurf’s multi-sensor support for the REVO system by enabling ultrasonic thickness evaluation.
The Dynamic Surface Point tool is used to add the new one-point thickness measurements to a plan by selecting surfaces or nominal points on the model.
When the plan is run the RUP measures the actual thickness at the target point and reports the difference as a deviation.
The RUP works on metal parts ranging in thickness from 1 to 20 millimeters and has an accuracy better than 0.01 millimeter.
