TechFab, Montreal, QC, which recently joined cutting tool supplier Komet’s Service network, celebrated the official partnership with an open house on December 17, 2013.
TechFab is now certified by Germany-based Komet Group for the refurbishment, regrinding and manufacture of solid carbide tools. The open house included customers and city officials, such as Montreal-East mayer Robert Cotu and Komet of America’s CEO for North America, Jan Pflugfelder, as well as TechFab owners, Francois Cyr and Solange Fresneau and TechFab employees.
“We are very proud to have become a Komet Service Partner,” expressed Fresneau during the ceremony. “We have to thank our employees for all their hard work, we are very proud of them as well.” This focus on the human capital of TechFab exemplifies the business philosophy of the company, who’s leadership with training programs and workforce betterment endeavours has been recognized with various prizes over the years. Fresneau was recently awarded the Prix Femmes d’Affaires du Quebec. This prize awards businesswomen who excel in their field of activity, hence contributing to Quebec’s socioeconomic development.
The second Canadian partner after Castelar Tool of Mississauga, ON, and the sixth partner for North America, TechFab also joins a network of 21 European partners who support customers with quality carbide tool processing services. The Komet Service network consists of specialists in the fabrication and refurbishment of solid carbide tools who adhere to Komet processes and quality standards to provide customers superior tooling for their applications.
TechFab will serve customers in the Western half of the province of Quebec.
