Six companies in the Lévis, Quebec area have each received hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding from the Canadian federal government through Canada Economic Development’s Quebec Economic Development program.

The recipients include Atelier Usinage Carignan Inc. , Robotiq Inc. and Pyromaître Inc.
A total of $2,073,000 in repayable funding was disbursed to the six companies under the program. The money will help the companies improve production capacity, launch marketing strategies and purchase strategic equipment. Ottawa says the total of eight projects the companies are planning will generate $5.5 M in investments and create 36 new jobs in the area.
“As Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, my goal is to help businesses grow and innovate so that they can become more competitive and create high-quality jobs and wealth for Canadians,” said Navdeep Bains, Minister responsible for CED. “That is why we are supporting these six businesses, whose successes benefit the region and the Canadian economy overall.”
