Knuth Machine Tools is bringing the Silbertool thread repair system to the North American market.
Silbertool enables users to repair virtually any kind of OD thread on any section of a round piece of material by hand. The technology can be adapted to any type of thread pitch and diameter, inch or metric. Knuth says Silbertool’s patented technology is the only existing chipless technology which repairs and recovers threads within seconds, without weakening them. “Existing material is reformed, not removed – preserving the original part and restoring the strength of the original thread.”
Applications include maintenance, aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, rail & heavy truck, and other industries that rely on threaded components.
Developed in Germany, Silbertool is now available in North America exclusively through Knuth.
