Scotchman Industries is celebrating its 50 year of manufacturing products in the US and it’s marking the anniversary with a special giveway that will see a school shop class receive a 50 ton ironworker.
Scotchman has created a sweepstake and the winner will receive a $1,000 Scotchman tooling credit and the power to decide which school will receive the new 50514-EC ironworker. The company says that with its customers it wants to “pay it forward and inspire the next generation” of youth to embrace a career in the manufacturing industry.
Founded in 1967, Scotchman introduced its industry revolutionizing product, the 35-ton hydraulic-powered ironworker, with only six employees. Today, employing almost eighty people, Scotchman manufactures fourteen different models of ironworkers, ranging from 45-tons to 150-tons in three distinctive styles; as well as a complete line of circular cold saws.
“We are proud to say that our world-famous ironworkers are still made in small town Philip, South Dakota, USA.” says president and CEO Jerry Kroetch. “Our company was founded on the principle of providing well-built machinery to help our customers find efficient solutions for their shop needs.
