Royal Products’ Rota-Rack automated accumulator is now available, providing a simple and low-cost method for safely collecting finished parts from bar-fed CNC lathes.
The patented Rota-Rack can be used with any bar-fed CNC lathe to safely collect finished parts, providing for extensive unmanned production.
Benefits include:
- Increased capacity and throughput: existing machines can be run overnight, through weekends and during break periods while reducing cycle time as an operator is not required to conduct unloading.
- Eliminates part damage: when the system collects a finished part, the turntable rotates to the next position, ensuring that the next finished part will not collide with the previous one.
- Reliability: keeps working long after the last employee has left for the night or the weekend.
The heavy-duty system is available with two control options and three conveyor options (short, standard and long). The basic control option eliminates operator input of the timing and rotation functions, while conveyor and turntable maintain a continuous low-rpm motion. The deluxe control option enables the Rota-Rack to be matched to the machining cycle time. Three inputs are entered by the user: part cycle time, amount of rotation, and auto-shutoff quantity.
