Users that don’t have the budget or floor space to accommodate a bar feeder can use CNC bar pullers for simplified automation. First, load a spindle-length bar into the lathe spindle, then install a CNC bar puller in the turret, then add G-code into the program to enable the CNC bar puller to engage the bar end and advance it along the Z axis once the previous workpiece has been parted off.
The bar pullers can be easily moved from machine to machine as required, and offer maintenance-free operation.
