Randy Bossie has been appointed general manager Canada for Sandvik Coromant, Mississauga, ON.

Effective March 1, 2016, Bossie will assume the responsibilities of the new role for Canada and be part of the Americas Management team reporting to Sean Holt, president of the Americas organization for Sandvik Coromant.

About Randy Bossie, Mr. Holt states, “the Canadian market is a mature market that demands a very high level of technical expertise. Randy’s experience in the Canadian organization, and global roles, will be invaluable in creating and driving a strategy that is tailored to this market. He is a trusted, strong leader who understands our customers’ needs.”

Bossie, 53, has extensive experience in areas ranging from strategic planning and marketing to sales and channel strategy. He joined Sandvik Coromant Canada in 1995 as a technical sales representative and worked in various roles in the Canadian organization, including national sales manager. Most recently he was the global machine tool sales manager, based in Duesseldorf, Germany. Bossie will relocate to Mississauga, ON.

Reflecting on his new appointment, Bossie says, “I am excited about the opportunity to return to Canada, a vibrant market serving several strong industries that are poised for continuous growth. I want to make sure that our customers will have access to the resources and technology they need to succeed in today’s ever changing global business climate. The implementation of modern software is as much part of this as is utilizing the latest tooling solutions like the CoroMill 390, with insert size 07, which I am confident will help our customers reach new heights of productivity.”
