Mundial Group, St. Lambert-de-Lauzon, QC, has aquired JLM Usinage Inc., of St. Augustin-de-Desmaures, QC, a machine shop specializing in pharmaceutical, medical, scientific, optical, electronics, food and industrial sectors.

Mundial Group says the latest acquisition is an important asset in broadening the company’s activities in contract manufacturing services for customers in Canada and the US.

JLM Usinage Inc. was founded more than 38 years ago, and has distinguished itself through its dedicated team, who share similar values to other companies within the Mundial Group. Housed in a modern plant over 17,000 sq ft, the team at JLM Usinage Inc. is composed of fifteen members. Frédéric Bernard will join existing managers and associates, Gaétan Noël, and Gilles Poulin. Bernard has more than 11 years experience in the Mundial Group family as a machinist, manager and partner.

JLM’s facility includes eight machining centres, five CNC lathes and a welding division.

The Mundial Group is now composed of six subcontracting companies.
