Dillon Manufacturing has introduced workpiece stops which provide a quick, consistent method of locating short workpieces in three-jaw chucks.
They allow short parts to be set above the jaws, thus providing needed clearance. Strong magnets pressed into the stops hold them securely to the chuck face, which contrasts with parallels or spacers that can come loose and be thrown. In addition to providing a safer workspace, Dillon workpiece stops allow quick setup times. They are available in heights from .563 inches to 1.375 inches, making them ideal for anyone machining short parts with three-jaw chucks.
