Mazak has introduced the HCN-6800 NEO, an update to its HCN-6800 horizontal machining center.
The HCN-6800 NEO offers an improved standard 10,000-rpm spindle and high-torque and high-speed options. Mazak says that it delivers fast and highly accurate table positioning and enables operators to load and unload workpieces on multiple surface fixtures.
Improvements include an expanded set of spindle and automation options and new innovations for ATC shutters, tool magazines and pallet-changer doors. The HCN-6800 NEO features greater tool length and moment, new AI-powered software and larger Y-axis LM guides.
The horizontal machining center is available with a standard 43-tool drum-type magazine and optional 60-tool drum-type or 80, 120 or 160-tool chain-type magazines. An optional high-torque direct-drive motor table improves indexing time with high-accuracy rotary scale positioning. The unit integrates with a wide range of optional automation systems, from integrated two-pallet changer to PALLETECH, for lights-out operations. Thermal displacement minimization is faster and more accurate with machine learning using Ai Thermal Shield.
