Mitutoyo Canada Inc.’s new KA-200 Counter is an updated display unit for linear scales with new features and functions that make it a good addition to manual machine retrofit packages, says the company.
New features include Absolute and incremental modes, non-linear error compensation, function lock, adjustable LED intensity, multiplier function and an option to output directly to spreadsheets using a USB card. New functions include a feed speed display, taper machining function, tool data, and a calculation function.
A large display allows the operator to read the numbers at a glance. Mitutoyo says it has improved the sub-display to make it easier to navigate through parameters. Users can switch between absolute and incremental modes with the push of a button. Each mode offers ten presets. A function lock holds the settings and prevents accidental changes of them. A calculator function allows operators to calculate angles, distances and other measurements.
