The VTC is the company’s first vertical turning series that combines milling and turning operations in a single setup.
The machine, which includes the VTC1616, features a programmable W axis and hydrostatic table with C axis indexing capabilities.
It has a maximum turning diameter of 2,000 mm (78.7 in.), a maximum turning height of 1,200 mm (47.2 in.) and a table load capacity of 14,000 kg (30,684 lb). A 1,6000 rpm spindle uses a curvic coupling design for rigidity and a puzzle-type tool magazine.
