Hurco Companies Inc., Indianapolis, IN, has acquired the machine tool component business of LCM Srl, Asti, Italy. LCM, formed in 1986, designs and manufactures mechanical components and accessories for machine tools.
Gregory Volovic, president of Hurco Companies, says the “strategic acquisition of an innovative business such as LCM further supports our mission to develop advanced machine tool technologies to support our customers, who need increasingly sophisticated and versatile CNC machine tools to stay competitive and to grow profitably. “
He adds that LCM has already been supplying Hurco with direct drive spindles, swivel heads and rotary torque tables for its SRT line of five axis machining centres.
Hurco machine tools are sold in Canada through distributor Elliott-Matsuura Canada, Oakville, ON.
