HSK turning for mill-turn centre

BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc. has expanded its turning tool line to include HSK-T63 for Mill-Turn Centres.

As popularity of these machines has increased over the years, so too have their tooling options. With this development, BIG Kaiser’s extensive modular turning cartridge system now includes holders to support any MTC spindle interface.

The HSK-T designation was originally acknowledged as the ICTM standard. ICTM is an open standard developed by a panel of leading Japanese manufacturers, and is based on the ISO 12164-1:2001 standard HSK shank. HSK-T is a highly accurate and rigid dual contact interface, striving to improve tool accuracy by utilizing high tolerance drive keys, allowing for the highest precision turning applications. HSK-A rotary tools are fully compatible with HSK-T type spindles.

BIG Kaiser’s HSK-T63 line offers modular turning tools for mill-turn applications in either a 45-degree tilt style or a 90-degree right angle style. The complimentary HSK-A63 program includes a wide variety of rotary tool holders for milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring – thus providing a complete tooling system for MTC’s with HSK-T63 spindles.
