Hardness testing

The HM-200 series Micro Vickers hardness testing machines incorporate the latest optical systems for measuring identation dimensions and an electromagnetic test-force loading device.

Depending on the model, the hardness testers are equipped with a touch panel controller and available CCD camera or with an included USB colour mega pixel vision system supported by AVPAK software for automatic indentation measurement.

The electro-magnetic test force device makes it easy to set the desired force, between 0.403 mN and 19610 nM (HM-220). Objective lenes provide a long working distance with six available MH Plan objectives. The 10X, 20X, 50X and 100X types are used for measuring indentations; the 2X and 5X are for widefield observation tasks.

The hardness testers can support output to measurement data applications such as MeasurLink, Mitutoyo’s statistical processing and process control program which performs statistical analysis and provides real time display of measurement results for SPC applications.
