Haimer recently teamed up with its CAD/CAM software partner Open Mind Technologies to take on the challenge of five axis machining a panther sculpture out of aluminum.
Why a panther? Haimer is a partner of the German Hockey League’s Augsburger Panther professional hockey team. The sculpture came to life using a linear five axis DMG MORI HSC70 machining centre and Haimer’s hyperMILL virtual maching centre simulation solution.
