Okuma America Corp. will be hosting its first post-pandemic Technology Showcase event next week on March 7 & 8 at its newly-renovated headquarter facilities in Charlotte, NC. And there is some welcomed news for those attending about equipment availability.

“As we were planning our machine tool lineup for the show, I was pleasantly surprised at how much equipment we have available right now,” comments Timothy Thiessen, vice president sales & marketing at Okuma America Corp. “What this means for you is, all the Okuma machines you’ll see at this show are ready for purchase, in stock, and here on U.S. soil. That’s really saying something at a time when many deliveries are slipping into next calendar year.”

Okuma will be showing a dozen machine tools, many of them equipped with some form of automation, Thiessen says, adding Okuma will even be showing automation on a grinder, which is a great example of how automation is being applied in all segments of our industry.

Thiessen is encouraging all interested to register for the event at www.okuma.com/tech-show-23. You’re invited, and please “Feel free to bring everyone from your shop who’d benefit from this exciting event. Take a field trip for a day and check out some cool new technology,” Thiessen posted on LinkedIn. “Keep in mind that we have more than 30 machines set up throughout our facilities that we can take you to see, based on what you’re looking for and what your needs are.”
