CWB has announced that it will be offering educational support through its Acorn educational program at FABTECH Canada, North America’s largest event dedicated to metal forming, fabrication, welding and finishing.
FABTECH Canada takes place at the Toronto Congress Centre June 12-14, 2018. Attendees will have access to a variety of technologies dedicated to forming and fabricating, tube and pipe, welding, thermal spray, and finishing.
“CWB Education is offering informational sessions for attendees,” CWB marketing communications specialist Rhea Gill, told Shop Metalworking Technology. “They’ll be educated on Acorn and its benefits, but we’re not offering actual education sessions.”
With the release of Acorn, CWB Group’s educational platform, CWB is able to approach classroom training with an innovative approach which encompasses strategies for enhanced knowledge, uptake, and retention. CWB describes Acorn as a flexible learning platform that can be adapted to existing training initiatives.
Because FABTECH focuses on solutions to advance businesses and careers, CWB felt that it provided a good platform for Acorn.
CWB runs its own CanWeld Conference, but Gill told SMT there are currently no plans to integrate that event with FABTECH. CanWeld will go ahead as usual this year, Gill said.
CWB is exhibiting at Booth #890 at FABTECH Canada this year.
