The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA) says sponsorships for its Apprentice Award are now available for companies looking to make a difference in the industry.
Sponsorships help support the following with the Apprentice Award:
- $1,000 award for apprentices
- $500 award for pre-apprentices
- Tools, training packages and other trade-related items
“Your generous support will help us continue to provide these hardworking individuals the recognition they deserve, while also providing the tools and funds to help prepare them for their careers within our industry,” CTMA says.
The CTMA Education Fund in honour of George H. Shaffer and Michael G. Solcz Sr., was established in 1994 to support and encourage apprenticeship and skilled trades training—something that has always been a passion of theirs. George Shaffer and Michael Solcz Sr. were founding members of the CTMA, and both served as President in the early years of the Association.
