TE-CO Workholding has introduced a 6 in. compact vise with machinable jaws that it says is ideal for five axis workholding or machines with a small work envelope.
The machinable jaws allow more part contact that increases the clamping pressure reducing the possibility of part movement and increasing accuracies. The vise is manufactured from 4140 steel for maximum rigidity.
The small footprint allows the vise to be used on most five axis machining centres. Due to the SnapLock jaw design, jaws can be easily changed within seconds. Jaws are available in Aluminum and 4140 Steel. The compact vise is also available in a 4 in. version.
