China is now the world’s largest trading nation according to a news report by Bloomberg news, surpassing the US.
US exports and imports of goods last year were $3.82 trillion while China’s trade in goods in 2013 were $3.87 trillion.
The Bloomberg report quotes Jim O’Neill, chairman of Goldman Sach’s asset management division, “at this kind of pace, the end of the decade many European countries will be doing more individual trade with China than with bilateral partners in Europe.”
