The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA) is extending its popular Career-Ready with CTMA: Expanding Opportunities program for another year and is now accepting applications from manufacturers.
Through this program, eligible employers could receive 50% of wages paid up to $5,000 for a single placement, up to $10,000 for two placements, and up to $15,000 for three placements to assist with the cost of hiring and training (depending on start date).
Participants of this program receive hands-on training in a real-world work experience that improves their employability by building their knowledge and skills.
If you have a candidate that you recently hired or plan on hiring, or plan to upskill and you are interested in funding from the Career-Ready program, contact [email protected].
As CTMA launches its Career-Ready with CTMA program, it’s also adding two new team members: Robin McFarlane, Career-Ready Project Administrator, will assist employers with the application process. Richard Janik, Monitor.

Richard Janik, Monitor, will be assisting CTMA executive director Robert Cattle in monitoring participants.
