The capacity utilization rate (not seasonally adjusted) for the total Canadian manufacturing sector rose from 80.3% in May to 80.8% in June.
Fabricated metal manufacturing didn’t follow the industry trend, with capacity utilization dropping 1% to 79.5% compared to 80.5% in May. Year-over-year, however, fabricated metal manufacturing capacity utilization in June improved. It was 1.2% better compared to June of last year.
