Suhner Industrial Products highlighted its latest automated systems and capabilities at FABTECH 2023, which took place Sept. 11-14 in Chicago IL.
One of the highlights was the company’s new EFC-02 robotic electric force compliance system (pictured above). The EFC-02 combines Suhner’s abrasives and material removal expertise with smart automation to deliver superior surface quality results, Suhner says.
“Recognizing the role robotics plays in adding efficiency and lowering production costs for manufacturers of all types and sizes, Suhner continues to expand its robotics offering,” the company announced. “The fully electric EFC-02 delivers precise, constant force throughout robotic grinding, sanding and deburring processes – resulting in superior, consistent surface quality.”
The new version 2.2 of Suhner’s ROTOmax process-optimized grinding system was also on display. Suhner describes the ROTOmax 2.2 as “a powerful and universal system unit in which the drive and the tool are ran separately using a flexible shaft.” The system includes a large LED display to enable the speed to be seen easily, and undervoltage protection eliminating the need for restart when the power supply is interrupted. The Illustration of the grinding processes or work cycles is made possible by saving up to six different speeds, individually programmable and electronically controlled. Because it can be used almost anywhere, the ROTOmax 2.2 is optimal for work in foundries, tool production, the pharmaceutical industry, food tech processing plants, aviation technology, boiler making and in mechanical workshops.
Suhner also presented its FLEETCare tool leasing and management program, the ABRACare abrasives inventory management system and the Suhner@Work program that offers boots-on-the-ground engineering consulting services.
Suhner also highlighted its Swiss-engineered, German-made tooling and a full array of abrasives from the industry’s leading manufacturers.
