Prima Industrie, a global provider of laser systems, sheet metal working systems and electronic components for industrial applications, has appointed Giovanni Negri as its new CEO.
Negri had been CEO of CMS SpA, of SCM Group, a company that specializes in the production of numerically controlled multi-axis machining centers. Previously he held, both in Germany and in Italy, several positions of increasing responsibility in SCM Group, Porsche Consulting and Siemens. He has a degree in Management Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from the Politecnico di Milano.
The former CEO Ezio Basso will remain on the board of directors and will work with Negri to ensure a smooth transition.
Prima Industrie has also elected a new board of directors.
