Mazak Optonics’ OptiPlex Fiber II fiber laser cutting machine is now offered in a 6 kW version. The machine offers fabricators “intelligent” processing functions via it’s Intelligent Setup system, including auto nozzle changing, auto focus positioning, auto profiler calibration, focus detection, beam diameter control, and auto nozzle cleaning. Pierce, burn and plasma detection functions are also part of the system.
