FABTECH Canada Report: Access Machinery’s Tecoi Hyper Operative Range

Tecoi's THOR (Tecoi Hyper Operative Range) solution was drawing large crowds at the Access Machinery booth, which is Tecoi’s distributor in Canada.

THOR (Tecoi Hyper Operative Range) is Tecoi’s answer for the metal fabrication and steel structure construction sectors for customers who need to combine thermal cutting and bevelling with machining operations such as drilling, milling, tapping and countersinking in large thicknesses and with complex geometries.

The machine was drawing large crowds at the Access Machinery booth, which is Tecoi’s distributor in Canada.

Tecoi’s THOR is a machine that under a sturdy double-beam gantry combines plasma and oxyfuel cutting and bevelling with machining heads in its central area. These heads, connected to the beams through a triple guideway system that Tecoi says neutralizes vibrations, enjoy an independent 610 mm track and clamps for securing the plate position during the entire cutting process.

The gantry is supported by machined beams with 45 mm linear guidance and a four-roller runner system on a sliding base, which give dimensional stability to the entire unit.

Irina Solovianenko, founder and CEO of Access Machinery, did double duty at FABTECH Canada. When she wasn't at the Access Machinery booth walking customers through her growing lineup of fabricating solutions, Solovianenko was on the stage participating in an informative panel discussion about the Women of FABTECH and how they found their place in manufacturing.
