Continental Pipe & Tube Cut-Off Machines has acquired Rabbit Tool USA, a manufacturer of rotary cut-off machines.
Continental is now gearing up to produce and support the Rabbit Tool Birkestrand-designed machines.
The new range includes Rabbit Tool’s Supercutter tube cut-off machines, which employ use the rotary cut-off method to cut round pipe or tube to length quickly. Hardened tool steel blades leave a minimal burr and produce no chips, saving time and preventing costly material waste. These machines are available in manual or semi-automatic versions and can handle from 1/4″ to 4-1/2″ diameter tube or pipe.
Continental will also be adding Rabbit Tool’s PR Series tube end forming machines (pictured above), as well as its DB Series tube deburring machines. The PR Series offers a unique method to straighten tube ends that have been rolled in during cut-off. Tooling is also available to roll form a variety of beads and grooves. Pinch-Roll machines are available in manual or pneumatic versions and provide a quick, clean way to prepare tubes for further operations.
The DB Series deburr or chamfer ID and OD of tube ends in a range of sizes. These machines feature a rugged design and offer quick manual operation.
