High pressure waterjet cutting is gaining in popularity among fabricators because it improves cutting efficiencies.

One supplier that has responded to fabricators demands for higher pressure cutting is Flow International. HyperPressure and Dynamic Waterjet technologies allow fabricators to cut faster. The HyperJet pump, rated at 94,000 psi, delivers continuous operating pressure at 87,000 psi while the HyperPressure system cuts as much as 50 per cent faster than conventional waterjets, claims Flow, lowering cost per part and improving production efficiency.

Flow's Dynamic Waterjet technology was developed to eliminate taper errors and stream lag, improving accuracy and speeds in 2D cutting applications.
