TRUMPF TruLaser 5030 FiberClick image to enlargeBrightLine is a new fiber laser technology from TRUMPF that made its debut at FABTECH 2013 in Chicago, IL.

The new technology, equipped on the company's TruLaser 5030 fiber, a 2D laser cutting machine with a 5 kW solid state laser, gives fabricators the ability to cut high quality stainless steel up to 25.4 mm (1 in.) thick, claims the company.

The technology is able to produce small holes and tight contours in thick sheet metal and offers higher quality and productivity in mild steel in the 12.7 to 25.4 mm (1/2 in. to 1 in.) range. TRUMPF says it is also able to cut all standard material types and thicknesses at "excellent quality."
