Absolute Machine Tools, Lorain, OH, has been appointed the exclusive North American (including Canada) importer for deep hole drilling machines from Precihole Machine Tools Ltd., based in Mumbai, India.
Precihole is one of the world’s largest producers of deep hole drilling and hole finishing machines.
Parag Kulkarni, Precihole sales and development manager says the company chose Absolute Machine Tools, “because of their experience with the importation of machine tools and their reputation for outstanding customer service and support.” All of the Precihole product line will be sold and serviced by Absolute and its distributor network.
Precihole products consist of deep hole drilling machines commonly known as “gundrilling“ machines and BTA boring and trepanning machines with ID capability up to 16 inches and hole lengths of 40 feet. Also provided are 3-axis drilling machines for the mold and die industry or any application that requires asymmetric holes to be drilled. In addition, Precihole is one of the few manufacturers to provide skiving and burnishing machines to perform final hole sizing and surface finishing with a single tool passage through a cylindrical part.
The Precihole product line also includes machines designed for reaming, counter-boring, firearm barrel rifling, taper boring, honing and trepanning applications. A new machine will be introduced this summer in North America for facing, centering and chamfering. These machines will have multiple OD sizes and will automatically clamp and center any tubular parts while machining both part ends simultaneously.
