Tooling Tech Group (TTG), a provider of tools and automated assembly equipment to a wide range of industries, has appointed Dan Collings as its director of purchasing.

In this leadership role, Collings will be responsible for directing purchasing across all TTG divisions, while also overseeing buyers, integrating the ERP system across our companies, and implementing innovative purchasing solutions.

“We are excited to have Dan lead our purchasing efforts to better support our customers,” said Lee Childers, CEO of TTG. “Dan’s skills and experience are already proving to be a valuable assist to our organization.”

Collings has spent 24 years working in positions of progressive purchasing responsibility in the automotive industry. He began his career as a buyer for several Detroit-area automotive suppliers, where he gained experience to later take on the roles of advanced purchasing manager and purchasing director.

For nine years prior to joining Tooling Technology Group, Collings was employed in purchasing positions with Autoneum in Novi, Mich., a Tier 1 global automotive industry leader for interior and noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). There he most recently served as purchasing director (Indirect) focused on managing multi-million dollar spends for MRO, supplies, equipment, tooling, and services.

Collings holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Arts from Michigan State University and completed a High-Performance Leadership Program in 2021.
